This is my weekly feature in which I share with you some of the places we have visited. This past week or so we visited Colorado. The people of this lovely state have their own nickname you will see everywhere: Colorful Colorado
It’s a state full of color and beauty.
You will see red in the dirt and the rocks and some of the mountains.
Blue sky reflected in a pond by our campground in Montrose.
The aspen trees were a beautiful yellow and gold.
Green in the trees, especially in this tree farm.
And a different green in the sagebrush.
There were still a few wildflowers growing in October.
Not all the color was in nature. Some we found in towns,
like this old Fire House and truck.
And the town itself was full of color. This is downtown Ridgeway.
If you haven’t already experience Colorful Colorado, I hope someday you’ll have the opportunity. Try to go in Fall or Spring when all the tourists and skiers are there. I hope you’ll join me again next Sunday for Favorite Places.

NORTHERN CALLIFORNIA
Gorgeous! We went to Colorado for the first time last August, and I can’t wait to visit again!
Lovely, lovely. I haven’t been to CO for a few years now. I might have to make a visit.
I love the colors! Downtown Ridgeway looks interesting!
What a great place to visit. Such lovely pictures. The town looks fascinating.
What a gorgeous set of photos! I especially like the pond (#3) and the tree farm (#5). Where are you heading next?
Those Aspen trees are gorgeous and I loved the photo with the sky being reflected on the pond.
Beautiful pics! A few years ago we drove to Colorado Springs with my parents to revisit where they lived when my Dad was in the Army in his early 20’s. Beautiful. And then this summer we visited Denver and Vail and you know how beautiful I thought those places were. I am a city girl at heart and like to be surrounded by people, but visiting Colorado made me think it wouldn’t be so bad to be surrounded by mountains instead
Colorado sure is beautiful! I think the last time I was there and actually had a chance to do wome sight-seeing I think it was in March. So it was still pretty cold at that time. I’m hoping to be able to go in the summer sometime in the future and enjoy some warm air.
Makes me want to travel.
