I hope all of you here in the U.S. are enjoying the first long weekend of the summer. I do remember how much I used to enjoy these three-day events. Now that I’m retired, people actually have to remind me when these holidays are coming up. In the “olden days” we used to spend this [...] After years and well, actually decades, of constant hand motion, my hands are taking their revenge. They want to stop moving, get repaired and heal. Today I’m having carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand to get the process started. (He picked 9/10/11 so it would be easy to remember.) It’s a much anticipated event but we have so much going on. I’ve finally decided I can’t do everything. (Yes, that was hard to admit.) Family and friends are coming in from all over. Our family is hosting [...] It is my pleasure to introduce you to Erin of the blog Erin Reads. I’m pleased because I not only got to find a great new blog, but I feel I’ve found a new friend. I think, after reading this interview, you’ll feel the same way. At present Erin is a student studying information science. [...] As part of Armchair BEA we are chatting today about our favorite books of the year and the ones we are anticipating. Be sure to check the Armchair BEA website to read the book favorites of the other participants. I looked at my 2011 Reading List to jog my memory. It was hard to whittle [...] |
