Wondrous Words #223
Welcome to Wondrous Words Wednesday, a favorite meme sponsored by Kathy at Bermuda Onion. One of my book clubs is reading The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffanbaugh. As you can imagine, there is lots of talk about various flowers. The main character practices the Victorian practice of assigning meanings to various flowers. I highlighted some of the flowers I’m not familiar with. Instead of a definition, I’ll share the message the flower is supposed to convey.
Celandine: Joys to come
Cinquefoil: Beloved daughter
It’s funny how all the ones I didn’t know are all yellow.
Thanks for checking on my new words this week. I hope you enjoyed the beauty and the messages.
