Here's the only spot her name is mentioned in the story: "On other days, Margot would say, 'I'm going to look over my so-called books. Why don't you go for a walk or something, Jane?'And I would walk along the sleepy, leafed-over streets, on the unpaved sidewalks, past houses that to me were as inviting and as interesting as unread books, and I would try to imagine what went on inside."
