I’m reading Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell. It’s a book of subtle humor and extremely fun to read. I will be reviewing it tomorrow as part of the Classics Circuit. Here are a few sentences from the book:
“My age!” said Miss Matty, almost speaking crossly, for her, for she was usually gentle– “My age! Why, how old do you think I am, that you talk about my age?”

Where am I? It’s 1850 and I’m in a very small village in England. I’m visiting with a group of women who run the social life of the town. They are a very proud group of women and, how they handle their daily affairs is interesting, funny and a little sad.
What are you reading this week?

Oh, this looks like it is a movie too! I know it’s terrible, but I love saving the time of reading by watching the movie! (don’t tell anyone!) :–)
I’m planning to visit Cranford soon, glad to hear it’s an enjoyable place to visit.
