I’m sure there are many writers who are feeling a little hung over this morning. I can picture them hunched over their computers last night trying to finish their 50,000 word assignment.
As an avid reader, I couldn’t be more grateful and proud of their efforts.
Fifty Thousand Words!
That is an incredible amount of words to pull out of one’s brain in only thirty days. And a thirty day period that includes a lot of other things that have to be done. You are super-heros of the literary world.
I’ve been following the efforts of four writers this past month.
Belle of Ms. Bookish
Robin of My Two Blessings
Dawn of She Is Too Fond of Books
And my husband Jay, The Old Western Boy
Congratulations and good luck with your novels. Your efforts keep readers like me going.

That is quite an achievement! I didn’t realize your husband was participating too. I’m going to check out his blog now.
Well goodie for Jay! Will you someday be narrating his audio book for your future RV trips?
I hope it is a book.
Yay for Jay! I checked out his blog and can see that you both share a love of all things western. Hope his book is a success.
Thank you, Margot. I can’t tell you how much it helped having cheerleaders along the way, urging me on. And yes, I do feel a big hung over. Go to let the book simmer for a few days while taking a breather, then dive in and finish it. Congrats to your husband as well.
Thanks for sharing Jay’s blog. Dave is also a western fan. Fun to find someone who reviews that genre. Congrats to Jay on the writing!
Thank you, Margot! And congrats to Jay! How is he feeling now that it’s over? I was in a fog the first few days of this week, but I plan to be fully functioning again by the end of the weekend.
