While shopping in one of my favorite bookstores (WalMart) this week I found several books that are the kind of thing I love to read this time of year. Yup, I’m a sucker for those holiday romances. For me they are book candy – they’re just so nice, sugary and sweet. They are also short stories and I usually get two or three books inside one larger book. The best part is they have some of my favorite authors. Here’s what I found:
1. Under the Mistletoe
Bluebird Winter by Linda Howard
Stranded by a Christmas blizzard on her way to the hospital, Kathleen Fields is out of luck. Until Derek Taliferro arrives on the scene with his doctor’s skill and caring heart. Together they bring Kathleen’s child into the world and discover love, the greatest gift of all.
Naughty or Nice? by Stephanie Bond
Eric Quinn Stanton has never let pleasure interfere with business. He arrives early and incognito at a job, to see firsthand what’s working . . . and what’s not. But he can’t seem to see past Cindy’s beautiful green eyes or her other generous assets. And he can’t stop himself from testing her skills — on the job and in the bedroom. But what will she think when she learns his true identify?
2. That Holiday Feeling
Silver Bells by Debbie Macomber
In this classic story, Debbie brings those Manning men and Manning sisters home for a mistletoe marriage when a single dad finally says “I do.”
The Perfect Holiday by Sherryl Woods
Will bachelor Trace Franklin become a groom-to-be by Christmastime? He sure will . . . if Savannah Holiday’s aunt Mae has anything to do with it.
Under the Christmas Tree by Robyn Carr
When the folks of Virgin River discover a box of adorable puppies under the town’s Christmas tree they call on local vet Nathaniel Jensen for help. But it’s his budding romance with Annie McCarty that really has tongues — and tails — wagging.
I hope you’ve found some good books to read this week, whether holiday romances or otherwise. For more Friday Finds visit MizB at Should Be Reading.

They definitely have that holiday feel!
I love Christmas books too! I bought Wishin’ and Hopin’ by Wally Lamb last night.
I love Christmas movies even better than the books – for one thing, they take a shorter time, but you still get a good cry out of it!
I love having those books that have a few books in it. I consider those vacation books.
i’m a sucker for the animated holiday classics–frosty, rudolph, the grinch, and all the old-school specials. i don’t read too many holiday-themed books–maybe the ‘between the numbers’ stephanie plum novellas, but that’s about it.
Christmas novels give me the warm fuzzies and really put me in the mood.
These look like fun books! Happy reading.
Your favorite bookstore is Walmart?! I must admit I avoid Walmart, maybe two visits a year? When we do go I’m always throwing things in our cart that we really don’t need just cause they’re cheap!
I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving, I’m trying to ignore the fact that it means Christmas is right around the corner.
That’s one of the things that I love about the holidays is these wonderfulreads!!
thanks for the list, I’ve been looking for some holiday reads.
These look really good! I love Holiday books as well! My favorite time of year to read!
Thanks for finding the Linda Howard/Stephanie Bond book. Somehow I missed it – and they are two of my favorite authors. I’ll be looking for it next time I’m at the book store.
Very interesting topic, I will bookmark your site to check if you write more in the future. Take care, Hattie Bousar @ tinypocketpeople
Try A JOLLY GOOD FELLOW by Stephen V. Masse, my favorite Christmas book.
You have a great list of books-definitely some of my favorites. Perhaps you would be interested in my Christmas book, Christmas Rose, that was just chosen as the winner in the League of Utah Writer’s contest.
Happy Reading
