Like your theme, especially since I have sadly become addicted to Farmtown on Facebook. I knew I'd be sorry if I started it and it is seriously cutting into my online time!

Fantastic collection of farm-theme related books! I agree with Kelly, farms are great places to be a kid! I am now a city dweller & long for the rolling rural roads (try saying that fast a few times!). My youngest Lou, has kept the dream alive and talks constantly of the day we move to "the farm". (She's 4 so she is constantly talking.)

I grew up on a dairy (100 head of holsteins) and poultry (about 800 chickens) farm (160 acres), and all I can say is, it's a great place to be a kid, but it must have stunk to be my folks! It's a lot of work, even with a couple of kids to help out. But it was a great childhood! (Thanks go out to my mom and dad....)

Well, I'm a city girl, through and through. So farms and feed stores don't really hold much interest for me. But "Louise" is one book I might have to take a look at - the cover is wonderful!

Must hide the Coop book from DH - we had chickens years ago and he wants them again. I don't want another thing to care for, but this book actually makes me want them. :) Thanks for sharing.

I have the first and the third books on my wish lists. Hvaing read Michael Perry before, I'm certain that Coop will be an entertaining read. However, I still don't want any chickens of my own! Too much work (plus I only eat eggs baked into cookies and cakes ::grin::).
