It’s Tuesday . . Where are you? is sponsored by Raider Girl at An Adventure in Reading.
I’m in Sweetgum, Tennessee visiting with a group of women who love to both knit and read books. We’ve become a little set in our ways. Then the leader of the group brings in a thirteen-year-old girl so we can help her learn to knit. We also have to go back and read some of the classic children’s stories. Oh, dear.
I’m reading Sweetgum Knit Lit Society. Here are a few Teaser Tuesday sentences from the book:

“You never did tell us who you identified with in Little Women,” Merry heard herself say, even as she told herself not to get involved. . . .
“This book was totally lame. So is this stupid knitting.”
Oh yes, the Sweetgum, Tennessee women are about to experience some changes in their lives and not all caused by the teenager. I’ll have my review done this week. It’s been an interesting book.
If you would like some more teaser sentences, head over to Should be Reading and visit with MizB.

Love that teaser. Interesting!
Tuesdays: Teaser/Whereabouts
I’ll be looking for the review — hope the generations learned something from each other.

Love that teaser! Sounds like a good book, but a ticklish situation. Well, it’s been a long time since I had to deal with any 13-year-olds.
I saw the words knit and lit and thought “wonderful”, but of course there has to be a complication. Sounds good though – I’ll be watching for your review.
This is fantastic. It’s the first I’ve head of the title but I think I may look into it. thanks for sharing and happy reading!
sounds cute. I am here
Interesting teaser. I’ve been trying to teach my 8 year old granddaughter to knit – great fun.
Like the sound of this .
What an interesting premise! I am really looking forward to your review.

Good teaser! I’m looking forward to your review.
Greetings,

How interesting that they are talking about Little Women and knitting. I just started reading Little Women last night but only made it to Chapter 2. I hope I will like it. I’ll check back for your review on this book to learn more on what it is about.
I liked your teaser, here’s mine
I’ve read the Blossom Street books by Debbie Macomber and The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs. Same sort of feel?
I’m gonna go tell Catherine @ The Blonde Diaries that I am early on in reading Little Women myself right now! Perhaps she will like it better than some of the ladies in the online book group I’m reading it with.
They are British and think it is lame – just like the character in your book thinks. They told me that since they grew up on a diet of Austen and the Bronte sisters they were expecting the same from Alcott. Not having read those authors myself I couldn’t say. Are they just being lit snobs or do they have a point?
I am enjoying the trip back in time myself – their lives were so much more wholesome and do-goody than mine – but I like the humor and bright eyed naivite of youth represented.
Oh boy. Sounds like the knitting group is indeed about to get shaken up. You wonder how the others will look upon the one who introduced the 13 year old girl into the mix. Ha!
Meanwhile, my own teaser is at Bookishgal.
Great teaser!! I loved the one about the stupid knitting. I just heard about this book last week!! I’m waiting to see what your thoughts will be when you’re finished.
This looks like a nice cozy book for a winter day … I’ll look for your review (would it be appropriate for a teen to read?)
