It’s Tuesday . . Where are you?
I’m in an apartment in New York City. I’ve been in a real funk since it hit me that I haven’t done much with my life and I’m about to turn 30. (Editorial comment: Hah! Poor thing!) So I decided to cook every recipe in Mastering the Art of French Cooking by Julia Child. I’m going to cook all 524 recipes in one year and blog about it.
It’s Tuesday . . Where are you? is sponsored by Raider Girl at An Adventure in Reading.
I’m reading Julie and Julia by Julie Powell. From this book here are a few Teaser Tuesday sentences:

One thing about blogging is that it gives you a blank check for whining. When [husband] Eric simply couldn’t stand another moment of it, I could take my drone to cyberspace. There I could always find a sympathetic ear.

I gotta check it out!
Tuesdays: Teaser/Whereabouts
I’ve been wanting to read the book since it first came out. Not sure I’ll get around to it, but I’ll definitely go see the movie.
Nice selection. This is one of those books I’ve been wondering about for a while so I’ll be interested to find out what you think.
That is true over here too =)
My teaser is up The Burton Review
I really want to see the movie.
I read this book when it was first released in paperback. I had a love for cooking and no idea what a “blog” was
Now I have a love for blogging and I enjoy take out.
I am anxious to see Meryl Streep play Julia Child.
I’ve seen this book reviewed on a lot of blogs and of course seen the commercials. It looks hilarious. I’d like to get a copy. thanks for stopping by today
That’s interesting – first reference to blogging I’ve heard of in a book.
This one’s sitting on my shelf. I’m looking forward to getting around to it.
I really need to get to this bafore I see the movie! I like the teaser. I do try to keep the whining to a minimum
Great teaser. Even though I’m not a cook myself, I always liked watching Julia Child and might, just might (my wife would be surprised) like this book.
Hey, I see at right that you’re in the Agatha Christie Reading Challenge too. I just finished Murder at Hazelmoor (review coming soon).
This is so true! Thanks for visiting.
That looks like such a good book! I’ve got a couple of good teasers this week. Here’s a link.
Julie & Julia is on my TBR shelf. I’m looking forward to it, but wonder if it is going to be a little too self-referential for me — a little too-cute-by-half. We’ll see.
My teaser came from a memoir too — Forbidden Bread. Great book! I hope the teaser makes people want to read it. http://rosecityreader.blogspot.com/2009/08/teaser-tuesday.html
Fantastic! I remember hearing an interview when the book was first published, and I just loved the story of how it all came about. I really want to read this book — and see the movie too!
Meanwhile, my own teaser is at Bookishgal.
I like your Editorial comment: I’ve no sympathy for her either! Ha Ha! I have heard of this book but never checked it out. Is it good?
I enjoy these “year of” (whatever!) books. I think I should dive in, try a 365-day experiment and write about it.
I have Julie and Julia on my TBR shelf, and will read it before I see the movie.
