Updated: Look what I found

In my previous post I referred to a website I followed last  year that featured a new crockpot recipe every day for a year.

A Year of Crockpotting

This site is still up and running. All of last year’s recipes are still there plus she has been adding some new ones, just not every single day. Her recipes are not just for food alone. I loved the melted crayons. Stephanie is going to publish a cookbook of her experiences some time this year. Another blogger makes it in the big-time! Go check her out.

P.S. Somewhere out there is a video of her appearance on the Rachel Ray Show. She made Creme Brulee in her crockpot.

  • What a fun site! I love her “verdicts” at the end of each recipe. (especially since the one I saw that I thought, “wow, this looks good!”, she wrote “gross, really gross!”) I have to scroll through more, but a bartender told us once that if you put mixed nuts at the bottom of a crockpot on low, they are so good when they get hot you can’t stop eating them (not that it’s easy to stop when they’re cold) and then you can just leave them in the crockpot as long as you want. Crockpots are miraculous tools!

  • I’ve made several of her recipes and have been wondering if there would be a book about her experience. Thanks for mentioning this!

I was reading hers on a regular basis then she stopped posting every day. I really like reading yours because you have something new every day for me to read. So thanks.
