My mother passed along to me the talent for saving money. She also taught me the gift of giving. My mom never made a lot of money, but she was always good at saving it and then blessing someone who needed it. I think that is one of the reasons God made her so good at it.

My mother passed on her love for growing her own vegetables and herbs to cook with. She gave me a cookbook where she added several of her recipes on the back pages. Reading them today, I can still hear her voice explaining what to do first.
