This weeks Favorite Place in Lake

British Columbia is a province I fell in love with and the more we traveled through it the deeper my love grew. Everywhere we went we were snapping pictures. This little lake is along Highway 97 on the way up to Dawson Creek and the start of the Alaskan Highway. Its very small on the map, south of Prince George/north of Williams Lake.
We were just going to stop overnight but it was so peaceful we stayed several days. Of course the fact that this lake was loaded with lake trout was also a big plus. [If you look close you can see my husband speeding off in a boat.]
I took this picture while sitting in front of our RV. There was a light breeze blowing and whenever it blew, it was like walking through a department store cosmetics department all with the same fragrance – lilacs. It was May when we were here and the lilacs were magnificent. Most of the bushes were twice or three times the size of ones I’ve seen in the midwest. Most were the size of small cabins. I’m sure a lilac expert can tell me why they grow so well up here. All I know is they were a wonderful way to welcome us throughout the province. British Columbia is on my list of must-see-again, in May.

Absolutely gorgeous.
Hi Margot,
That looks like a great place! I would love to go down that highway in Alaska!! Did your hubby catch any fish that day? Mine is posted. Off to Mackinaw Island again. Have a great day!

Your weekly travels make me want to hit the road
As for the game – at least it was exciting! Almost too exciting for my husband…
I will tease you and tell you my lilac are ready to bloom. I cant wait till they do…the little white bush in the back is not so little this year. I hope it will be nice enough out when they bloom to be outside to enjoy the smell
I love BC and I love lilacs. I’m jumping in my car right now!!
